This salmon is cooked regularly at my house. Dill is an herb that seems to be made for salmon. This recipe is my weeknight friendly version of a favorite salmon dish from a restaurant in Miami. The prep work is simple and the cooking hands free. I like to pair it with side dishes that have a similar prep time and easy cooking. Brown rice and roasted vegetables work perfectly.
To begin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees (275 Celsius). Line the baking pan with foil. I use a glass pan for this because it can go in the dishwasher after, but a baking sheet or any other baking pan would be fine. Place the salmon in the center of the foil, season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle the dill on to taste and put the whole thing in the oven. Set the timer for 45 minutes and walk away.
Salmon with Dill
Ingredients
- 1½ lb salmon atlantic
- salt
- pepper
- dill
Instructions
- Place salmon in 9×13 baking dish. I line the pan with foil first, it makes cleanup easier. Season salmon with salt, pepper, and dill. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
- *Note: The 45 minute cook time only works for Atlantic Salmon. For any other salmon variety reduce the time to 30 minutes, checking for doneness about 5 minutes before.
